Raised in Clinton, Oklahoma, Doug graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Oklahoma in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Doug earned his Juris Doctor in 2006 from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was honored with the Academic Achievement Award in Legal Research and Writing, served as a representative for his class and studied law at Brasenose College at the University of Oxford.
Doug’s practice is focused on oil, gas and energy law, title opinions, title curative and litigation. He is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma courts and the United States District Courts for the Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma.
Doug is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association and the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen. He currently serves on the Corporation and Advisory Boards for the Oklahoma Chapter of Delta Upsilon. Doug volunteers in the community for Habitat for Humanity and the Plaza District Association.
Doug is married to Sara (Bonner) Jacobson, a Director at The Children’s Hospital. The Jacobson’s raise their daughter Hayes in midtown Oklahoma City.
