Brandi N. Nowakowski is a partner with the law firm of Stuart & Clover in Shawnee. She focuses her practice on probate, adult guardianship, estate planning, real property and general civil litigation. Ms. Nowakowski has also been selected as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in the area of Estate Planning and Probate for 2018 to present. Ms. Nowakowski was born and raised in Shawnee, and is a 2003 graduate of Shawnee High School.
Ms. Nowakowski received her B.B.A. in management from OU, where she graduated magna cum laude in May 2006. She received her J.D. from OU College of Law in May 2010 and was admitted to the practice of law before all Oklahoma state courts in September of 2010. She was later admitted to practice before the United State District Court in the Western District of Oklahoma. Ms. Nowakowski additionally serves on the Supreme Court of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe.
Ms. Nowakowski was employed as an associate with the West Law Firm from September 2010 through October of 2014, at which time she moved her practice to Stuart & Clover. Ms. Nowakowski has prior experience representing the Pottawatomie County Development Association and has served as counsel for the Pottawatomie County E-911 Trust Authority from 2013-Present.
Ms. Nowakowski is active in the legal profession, serving as the 2020 Vice President of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the 2019 Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Oklahoma Bar. Prior to holding those offices, she has actively served on the Oklahoma Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Board of Directors since January 2012 and during that time has received the YLD Star of the Quarter Award, 2013 Director of the Year Award, and 2014 Chair’s Award. In addition to serving as a director, she has served as YLD Community Service chairperson since 2013. As such, she was responsible for coordinating the 2013 OBA Day of Service activities throughout Oklahoma, as well as the YLD Day of Service activities for 2014 and 2015. She also served on the executive committee of the YLD Board since January 2016.
Ms. Nowakowski has been an active member of the OBA Law Day Committee and was been selected to serve on the Credentials Committee for the annual OBA House of Delegates meeting each year since 2012. Additionally, she served on the Clients’ Security Fund Task Force, current Client Security Fund Committee, and Budget Committee. Finally, she has been appointed to serve as the Oklahoma Membership Representative to the American Bar Association. In addition to her participation within the legal community, she has been an active member of the Shawnee community. She is a current member of Junior Service League, and has previously served on the Board of Directors for both Family Promise and the Shawnee YMCA.
Ms. Nowakowski is married to her high school sweetheart Chris. Together they are the proud parents of two sons, Ethan and Zachary. Carrying on the legacy of the 4 generations before her, Ms. Nowakowski and her family reside in Shawnee.
